Jon Anderson's father, a ceramicist, helped his young son fire his first sculpture. A snake. Jon was four years old. Growing up partly in Arizona and Mexico, snakes have featured prominently in Jon's life. With the rattlesnake, Jon tackles a fascination since childhood with emotional and pictorial reverence.
